Elmwood- the Village (Independent Living).
There are a range of 62 villas, cottages and studios on site; and another 23 new villas which have recently been built.
These dwellings cater for independent people who want to take advantage of the security, facilities and community life of a village.
Serviced apartments exist for those who want to retain their privacy and independence, yet, for an additional fee, would like to receive some help with cleaning, laundry, meals and personal care.
There is a newly revamped and refurbished community centre on site too.
This is the centre of village social life and has Sky TV, internet, theatre room, library and more.
Elmwood- the Rest Home and Hospital
Rest Home Care
Elmwood's 45 rest home beds are designed for those who require low-level nursing support but who may need a higher level of personal care.
Hospital Level Care
With 114 hospital beds and well qualified nursing staff on hand, Elmwood is able to provide seniors care with registered nurse cover 24-hours a day.
Assisted Living Suites
If they wish, residents can receive rest home or hospital care in a superior, modern suite. These suites are available under an Occupation Right Agreement ("ORA").*
Activities Programme
Elmwood has four activities therapists and holds many events such as karaoke, fashion parades, mid- winter Christmas lunch, happy hours, crafts and clothing sales, and fine dining evenings.
Elmwood has a contract with the Counties-Manukau DHB.
