Residents particularly appreciate the effort staff make towards getting the “every day” aspects of rest home life, like personal laundry and meals, right.
The facility itself is surprisingly spacious with wide passages, well lit hallways and a number of courtyards.
There are numerous outings and other activities co-ordinated by a recreational therapist for residents to enjoy.
Maureen Plowman has a core group of very experienced staff. A quarter of current staff have worked there for anywhere between 8 and 20 years each.
2 voluntary chaplains are on site Monday to Friday. They are available to residents and staff whenever required.
There is a registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day.
