Testimonial Westharbour

I really welcomed the newsletters and the meetings with the Registered Nurse to set Mum’s care plan in place.

Westharbour Lodge

Dear Jenny

Today I collected Mum and transferred her to another home.

I had expected this to be quite traumatic for Mum and myself. After 3 years and a few months of experiencing the wonderful care at West Harbour Lodge I should have known better. Even this was handled with the perfect mix of professional assistance and genuine caring.

I would like to thank everyone at West Harbour Lodge for the care mum has received, The staff I had most contact with were Diane, Lorraine and Mia. They have been just fantastic, but I realise that everyone has contributed to Mum’s overall care. There were mornings when I had to wait for the staff to finish hugging Mum and telling her to have a lovely time when I came to take her out. If staff knew there was a special occasion Mum would be dressed up in her best clothes and her hair and make up done.

I really welcomed the newsletters and the meetings with the Registered Nurse to set Mum’s care plan in place.

The photos in the foyer were fantastic as Mum never remembered what she had done and where she had been. To see the photos having a great time on an outing was lovely.

I also really enjoyed seeing her do exercise to music. She actually enjoyed them! Mum never exercised – EVER.

The outings, activities, the phone calls to let me know if Mum was unwell, the interactions with staff and other residents. There is so much.

Thank you so very much.
