Become part of a warm, welcoming and vibrant community
42 new apartments, a new community centre and pleasant, landscaped gardens are being developed at Meadowbank Lifestyle Care & Village.
A generous sized main bedroom with a built in, walk-through wardrobe.
A bathroom with under floor heating that will be fully tiled, have bespoke joinery, and can be retrofitted with aids such as grab handles, if needs be.
The bathroom will also have a:
Open plan living with good “flow’ from the kitchen to the dining area to the lounge.
Including:
For peace of mind, a nurse call alarm system
A design process that included an international review
As part of the planning for this new development, market research to review international retirement village building trends and practices was undertaken.
Where appropriate, these principles have been incorporated in the design of these apartments.
For instance, the three floors of each apartment building will have their own lounge with gas fireplace, bookshelves and entertainment system.
And furthermore, each new building – there will be two – will have good sized corridors and a large lift, large enough to accommodate furniture and goods.
A four-step process - in which 8 people reviewed 37 elements of dwellings at 9 different high-end retirement villages – was used in their design.
Quality fittings, materials and appliances
The apartment design allows for a luxurious level of finishes including:
“Four seasons” living on the ground and first floor decks
The apartments on these floors will feature sliding glass balcony enclosures. These are intended to provide four seasons living on the decks, as an extension of the indoor living area.
Communal Areas
Meadowbank’s new development is all about creating a warm, welcoming and vibrant community.
As part of this; you, your guests and your fellow residents will be able to enjoy each other’s company in a brand new community centre featuring:
Pleasant and peaceful surrounds
Extensive landscaping works are proposed for Meadowbank’s nine-acre grounds.
In the area right near the new community centre a pergola, chess set, petanque court, exterior seating and BBQ area are all planned.
Other improvements include to the gardens at the front entrance driveways and to those surrounding the new apartments.
